we are looking forward to hosting our second roundup july 3/4/5 2009. the format is basically the same as last year with some changes here and there. nicky is going to be bringing a few horses and friends with her this year and organizing western horse games. (we will be more than happy to accommodate you and your horse but there is no stabling and you will need to bring your own electric fence.) there will be horseshoe pitching, tug-o-war, welly wanging, roping etc. wyatt will be organising shoot-outs and A skirmish. tHERE WILL ALSO BE A BLANKET SALE IN THE MARQUEE ON SATURDAY.
the authentic camp area this year will be named "lukenbach" in rememberance OF a dear friend and old time cowboy, luke madrid.
J.B. is organising a western poetry session for the saturday evening so he hopes you will bring along your favourite poem; it can be all your own work or a cowboy poem you love. for those of you that turn up on thursday night it will be A get together nightand just chat and get to know one another. friday nights entertainment IS bARNY NEWMAN AND saturday night the soggy bottom boys WILL BE PLAYING. neil and lin from l & b linedancing will be providing music over the weekend for us. steph and her team will be doing the most important job of all providing the food. saturday night there will be A bonfire for all you guys and gals that like to stay up late. WE DO HAVE PLENTY OF FIREWOOD AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE.
